...began as a small shop, owned by George Calkins at Clover Field in 1983 with Forrest Colditz as his first employee. In 1988 Calkins Aero Service was purchased by Forrest and moved to West Houston Airport (KIWS), where he continues to oversee the day to day business.
Forrest Colditz has been around aviation his whole life. He started flying as a little boy with his Father and now holds an FAA Private Pilot's Certificate in single-engine land and instrument rating with over 3000 flying hours.
In addition to his flight experience, he has had an FAA Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic license since 1981.
