Welcome to Calkins Aero Service’s home on the web. We will be happy to help you with all your aircraft maintenance needs. There have been many changes in General Aviation Industry over the years; however the need for dependable aircraft maintenance has not.

Calkins Aero Service, Inc. is an FAA certificated repair station CRS# GK2R849K with Mexico DGAC Numero CO-070/14 approval. We have also been a Cessna Factory Authorized Propeller Aircraft Service Center for over 15 years.

Calkins Aero began as a small shop, owned by George Calkins at Clover Field in 1983 with Forrest Colditz as his first employee. In 1988 Calkins Aero Service was purchased by Forrest and moved to West Houston Airport (KIWS), where he continues to oversee the day to day business.

Forrest Colditz has been around aviation his whole life. He started flying as a little boy with his Father and now holds a holds an FAA Private Pilot's Certificate in single-engine land and instrument rating with over 3000 flying hours. In addition to his flight experience, he has had a FAA Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic license since 1981.

What sets Calkins apart is the years of experience in aircraft maintenance, service and repair. Experience is our greatest asset; this is represented in our top personnel and staff. We have achieved an invaluable reputation through our ability to respond to customer's needs. By carefully selecting our employees and helping them hone their skills, we are ready to respond with the expertise necessary for any project – large or small.
